Intake and grinding

10 Ton/Hour Feed Production Line

A feed production line with a capacity of up to 10 tons per hour, running a system of 4 batching bins and an electronic scale. The feed goes through raw material preparation, grinding, weighing, and mixing, then pelleting, cooling, screening, and preparation for packing.

Production Line Components

  1. First Screw Conveyor: Moves the raw materials from the receiving point to the raw material bin.
  2. Raw Material Bin: Receives the raw materials and feeds the grinder.
  3. Feeder: Regulates the entry of raw materials into the grinder.
  4. Grinder: Grinds the raw materials to the fineness suited to the required type of feed.
  5. Bucket Elevator: Lifts the ground material to the batching bins, and a distribution screw conveyor is used to deliver each material to its bin.
  6. Batching Bins: The system is made up of 4 bins, each dedicated to one of the raw materials used in the feed formula.
  7. Batching Scale: Weighs the materials according to the ratios set in the feed formula.
  8. Air Gate: Used between the scale and the mixer when the scale is installed above the mixer.
  9. Mixer: Mixes the materials after they are weighed to obtain a homogeneous mix.
  10. Moving the Mix to the Pellet Mill: Moves the mix from the mixer to the pellet mill bin using a discharge screw conveyor or a bucket elevator, depending on the line design.
  11. Pellet Mill: Compresses the mix and shapes it into pellets.
  12. Cooler: Lowers the temperature of the pellets after pelleting and helps firm them up.
  13. Crumbler for Poultry Feed – Optional: Crumbles the pellets to a smaller size suited to poultry feed, and is not used when producing pelleted feed without crumbling.
  14. Screener: Separates the fines from the final feed pellets, and the fines can be returned to the pelleting stage.
  15. Packing: The feed is packed from the bottom of the product bin, manually or with an automatic packing machine.

How the Production Line Works

The materials go through the following stages:

  1. Moving the materials to the raw material bin.
  2. Feeding the grinder and grinding the materials.
  3. Lifting the ground material to the batching bins.
  4. Weighing the materials according to the feed formula.
  5. Mixing the ingredients inside the mixer.
  6. Moving the mix to the pellet mill bin.
  7. Pelleting the feed and shaping it into pellets.
  8. Cooling the pellets after pelleting.
  9. Crumbling the pellets when needed to produce poultry feed.
  10. Screening the product and separating the fines.
  11. Packing the final feed.

The 4-Batching System

The line relies on 4 batching bins and an electronic scale, so that the materials are prepared and weighed according to the ratios required in the feed formula before they move to the mixer.

Producing Pellets and Crumbled Feed

The line produces feed as pellets after pelleting and cooling. A crumbler can be added after the cooler to produce the crumbled feed used in poultry feeds.

Line Layout Inside the Plant

The equipment layout is determined according to the plant area and the installation plan, with suitable bucket elevators, screw conveyors, and belts chosen to move the materials and the product between production stages.
