Feed Coolers

Pellets leave the mill hot and moist. Bagged that way they clump, lose their hardness and can spoil in the store. The cooler is what prevents it.

Complete cooling unit

A cooler is not fitted alone. The complete cooling unit is the chamber, a cyclone, a blower and two airlocks: the blower draws air through the pellet bed, the cyclone separates the fines from the air before it leaves, and the airlocks discharge what is collected without letting air leak in and break the draw.

No motor on the chamber

The chamber itself carries no motor. What moves is the discharge grate beneath it, driven by an Italian cylinder — Ø50 up to the 160 cm size and Ø100 on the 200 cm.

Before and after

The belt from the pellet mill runs deliberately slow so pellets do not break before they cool. After the cooler comes the crumbler on poultry lines, then the screen, then packing.

Warranty

The steel structure carries a ten-year warranty. Wear parts — hammers, dies and press rollers — carry one year, since they are replaced through normal use. Motors carry their own manufacturer’s warranty.
