Intake and grinding

3 Ton/Hour Feed Production Line – 2-Batching

A feed production line with a capacity of up to 3 tons per hour, running a 2-batching system. It covers grinding the raw materials, weighing, mixing, pelleting, and cooling. A crumbler can be added when needed to produce crumbled feed for poultry.

Production Line Components

  1. First Screw Conveyor: Moves the raw materials from the receiving point to the raw material bin.
  2. Raw Material Bin: Receives the raw materials and feeds the grinder.
  3. Feeder: Regulates the entry of raw materials into the grinder.
  4. Grinder: Grinds the raw materials to the size suited to feed manufacturing.
  5. Transfer Screw Conveyor to Batching: Moves the ground material to the batching bins.
  6. Two Batching Bins: Receive the materials to prepare them before weighing according to the required feed formula.
  7. Batching Scale: Determines the weight of the ingredients required before they move to the mixer.
  8. Air Gate: Helps discharge the material from the scale into the mixer, when needed depending on the equipment layout.
  9. Mixer: Mixes the ingredients after they are weighed to obtain a homogeneous mix.
  10. Moving the Mix to the Pellet Mill: Moves the mixed feed from the mixer to the pellet mill bin, using a screw conveyor or a bucket elevator depending on the line design.
  11. Pellet Mill: Compresses the mixed feed and shapes it into pellets.
  12. Cooler: Lowers the temperature of the pellets after pelleting.
  13. Crumbler – Optional: Crumbles the pellets to produce the crumbled feed used in poultry feeds.
  14. Screener: Separates the fines from the final feed pellets, and the fines can be returned to the pelleting stage depending on the line design.
  15. Packing: The feed is packed from the finished product bin, manually or with an automatic packing machine, depending on the agreed setup.

How the Production Line Works

The raw materials go through the following stages:

  1. Moving the raw materials to the raw material bin.
  2. Grinding the raw materials with the grinder.
  3. Moving the ground material to the batching bins.
  4. Weighing the ingredients with the batching scale.
  5. Mixing the ingredients inside the mixer.
  6. Moving the mix to the pellet mill bin.
  7. Pelleting the feed and shaping it into pellets.
  8. Cooling the pellets after pelleting.
  9. Using the crumbler when needed to produce crumbled feed.
  10. Screening the product and separating the fines.
  11. Storing and packing the finished product.

The 2-Batching System

The line relies on two batching bins and one electronic scale to prepare and weigh the ingredients according to the required feed formula before they enter the mixer.

Producing Pellets and Crumbled Feed

The line produces feed as pellets after pelleting and cooling. A crumbler can be added after the cooler to produce the crumbled feed used in poultry feeds.

Line Layout Inside the Plant

The equipment can be arranged to suit the plant area and the installation plan, with the path the material takes between production stages determined according to the line design.
