Feed Hammer Mills

The hammer mill is the first machine to touch the raw material. It grinds corn, soy, bran and barley until particle sizes are close enough for the mixer to blend and the pellet mill to bind.

Why quality starts here

Grinding is not a stage to economise on. Coarse material never blends evenly however long the mixer runs, and never binds properly in the pellet mill, so the pellet comes out soft. Final pellet quality starts here.

How it works

Hammers spin inside the grinding chamber and break the grain by impact. Nothing leaves the chamber but what passes the screen perforations — so screen hole size sets the grind, and changing it changes the product without changing the machine.

Materials and maintenance

Hammers in heat-treated steel, German SKF bearings, a Taiwanese coupling and a heavy anti-vibration steel body. The whole mill is bolted, not welded, so changing hammers or the screen and greasing need no cutting and no welding.

Motors are GAMAK (Türkiye) as standard. German or Italian brands can be supplied on request, with the quotation adjusted accordingly.

Warranty

The steel structure carries a ten-year warranty. Wear parts — hammers, dies and press rollers — carry one year, since they are replaced through normal use. Motors carry their own manufacturer’s warranty.
